About Dr. Blánaid White

Blánaid White has recently been appointed as Dean of Strategic Learning Innovation in DCU. Currently, she is leading the implementation of a €19.9 million initiative funded through the Government’s Human Capital Initiative. The goal this initiative is to radically reimagine the university curriculum and reconceptualise university teaching. Thus, introducing new areas of study and new ways of learning.

Additionally, embedding the transferable skills students will require to thrive in a yet to be defined workplace. Previously, she has held the roles of Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Science and Health and Head of School of Chemical Sciences. An analytical chemist by trade, Blánaid has been involved in multiple projects embedding innovative teaching methods so that students learn in exciting and engaging environments.
